Captain Kessinger is the Sheriff’s Chief Deputy and leads the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Office and all divisions. Captain Kessinger acts in place of Sheriff Giles in his absence.

Lt. Marks leads the Uniform Patrol Division of the Sheriff’s Office. The patrol division consists of four rotating squads, each squad consisting of a Sergeant and patrol deputies.
The patrol division are normally the first responders to complaints and requests for assistance from the citizens.

Lt. Hicks leads the Communications Division within the Sheriff’s Office. The communications division is comprised of four rotating squads of three dispatcher/jailors.
Communications deputies are often the first contact a citizen has with the Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Meredith leads the Courts and Civil Process Division of the Sheriff’s Office. The division is comprised of the Lieutenant and two court deputies.
These deputies ensure court security and order and also serve the majority of civil process issued by the courts.

Lt. Ogburn leads the Investigations Division of the Sheriff’s Office. The division is comprised of the Lieutenant and three investigators.
The investigations division investigates all major crimes and assist patrol division in follow up investigations for matters requiring more specialized skills.

Sgt. Burno leads the Jail Division of the Sheriff’s Office. The division is comprised of two Sergeants, two Corporals, and six Deputies.
Jail Division is responsible for the housing, security, and transportation of all inmates in the custody of the Jail.

Jessica Kessinger is the Executive Assistant to Sheriff Giles and is the training coordinator for the Sheriff’s Office. Jessica Kessinger assists the Sheriff with administrative tasks and tasks for all divisions.
